Even now, if you taste pudding very slowly, you can feel Poltergeist Princess Marie's wafty ghost try to slap it out of your mouth...

A (sort of) new Harry Potter 6 trailer. It looks so cool. I can't wait.
Also, a podcast on how people can spontaneously combust.

I feel like I'm using the same brushes over and over in my paintings--mostly the cover pencils and smear blender. I like the matted look it gives but I kind of feel in a rut. Can anyone give me advice? What brushes do you all use?
Lovely image! Really nice :)
ReplyDeleteCreepy-cool. Well done.
ReplyDeleteI personally like to use tooth brushes.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful-creepy! I love it!
But I don't know if I could eat pudding again...
Uh... I don't really use brushes....
ReplyDeleteAwesome work!
I just discovered the Pattern Chalk brush under the Pattern Pen category.
ReplyDeleteYou could experiment with those and try painting with your own custom made patterns.
-Or, if you're really feeling daring, you could try painting an entire piece with just the palette knife.
I triple-dog-dare you!
ReplyDeleteAwesome work! The details, colors, textures, and background really combine to make a well-rendered piece. :)
ReplyDeleteSpooky! It looks fantastic Heather. However, I especially liked the left shoe bow. There's just something special about it...
ReplyDeleteIt's hauntingly great!
ReplyDeleteGreat work Heather!
ReplyDeleteSo cool! Love the colors and the atmosphere of this piece.
ReplyDeleteMy new favorite brush is the Captured Bristle Acrylic. Actually it's an old favorite that just re-became my favorite. It has a nice textural quality that forces me to stay a little more painterly than I'm inclined.
ReplyDeleteAnd, nice picture. But those beady eyes are creepy.
"Jigggllerrsss..." very funny... I mean spooky. I like it. This reminds me of Return To Oz, easily the scariest little kids movie I've ever seen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XjC_0lGm0E
ReplyDeleteI will never be able to eat Jello without feeling like some creepy late 18th century French-ish princess is cursing my existence. Cool!
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm not much of a painter! But I love this piece. Those historic characters you do are always fun to see. I like the charming comments you make also. Good stuff Heather!!
ReplyDeleteWould like to see a book of your work--for sure.
ReplyDeletedo u work for disney?
