Lately I've been working on speedpainting. They're good exercises. Some of what I speedpaint is nature, some of it is backgrounds from animated features. So, I thought it would be fun to have a quiz.

Time for shameless plug!
Shameless plug: I've created a livejournal speedpaint group! It's called speedpainttrain. It's really awesome. Really. Ok, so far the only person to post stuff has been...cough cough...well, me, actually, but I'm sure it will pick up once the word gets out. There are rules (like, 30 minutes on each, has to be from life or a picture) but anyone can join. So be awesome and join.
Excellent work, Heather! You captured the subjects wonderfully. #12 didn't give me too much trouble, because I just barely watched it. I mostly struggled with #6 (orignally put Bambi) and #10 (originally thought it was Pecos Bill.)

GREAT SCOTT ADRIAN! Geez it's like you work for Disney or something. :D Okay I'm totally impressed. And I owe you a ramen. :D
ReplyDeleteHope I didn't ruin the fun by posting so soon... I just got excited. And speaking of these backgrounds... I think Aladdin has the most insane color palette with the blues and oranges. They've always bugged me.
ReplyDeleteDid you know that Snow White was designed with muted colors because the studio wasn't sure if the human eye could stand to look at colorful things for 90 minutes straight? Food for thought.
Okay. I know Adrian got them all right, but I decided to try anyways, just for fun. I'm thinking I'll get two or three right:

#12 is the truth about mother goose.... oh wait, someone already won the ramen? Dang.
ReplyDeleteOh man! I thought I knew every Disney film. I'm in awe of Adrian. He's amazing. Ummm, I wonder if he can quote "Princess and the Pea". If he can, he deserves his ramen to me gold plated!
ReplyDeletegold plating makes it taste funny
ReplyDeleteI don't like gold plating on my food. It makes it too rich.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'll be here all week!
(And I can quote the entire Princess and the Pea film. Sadly.)
Actually, the only one I knew was Truth About Mother Goose. Please, keep your ramen, or send it to Joe, he likes it with peanut butter, seriously.
ReplyDeleteGreat work!
I never heard of The Truth About Mother Goose... What's the scandal???
