My Totally I̶r̶r̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶a̶l̶ Rational Fears

Is it weird that I want bus drivers to like me?


I was thinking about this the other day.  Like, why does it matter if I'm on their good side?


I've never seen the same driver twice.  It's kind of an irrational fear.


But then I thought


Is it really that irrational?


I mean, nothing's really stopping THIS


from happening.

      MAYBE YOU SHOULD ASK THE DRIVER WHY THE BUS IS COMPLETELY EMPTY

    I am cracking up over this! I had the crankiest-of-all-cranky school bus drivers as a kid and I was always trying to make her like me (had a fear of her closing the door on me or something). I finally won her over with a Whitman's sampler at Christmas. Try that with a city bus driver. It might work. *wink*

    And you definitely don't want to make a waiter your enemy. They're handling your food for crying out loud! I don't even want to think of the horror... [curls up in corner]

    I also wondered why the bus was empty.

    You got me to thinking about whether or not I've ever seen the same bus driver twice. I used to see the same driver when I regularly rode public transportation to high school. Nowadays, I'm not so sure I'd see the same driver. But I also want drivers to like me. :-)
