Cankle Fairy!

It's conference time, so I can has another Cankle Fairy! Oh boy! And what could be cuter than freckles? I want a dress like that. Made out of real butterfly wings. Plucked from real butterflies. *goes to get net*

Right now I'm taking a digital painting class from Sam Nielson, who's a rockstar. I realized after lecture last week that I've never been analytical about color--I just slap on whatever looks good to me. That must change. This picture I tried to keep my colors analogous (although I did dip into the reds). I think it's only partially successful, but I learnt lots and it was a good experiment.

  1. Mostly Analogous, but the reds give a good Complementary bit to it. I may be a noob when it comes to the technical side of this stuff, but my eyes know when something looks "right." This looks "right."

  4. I love this picture. I love the joy I see in her face. She loves the feel of the wind in her face and the freedom of going fast! I feel that same way when I am on that stretch of highway between Ogden and Brigham City, and can go a fast 75 mph instead of a way too slow 65 mph other places. Rolling all the windows down just adds to the experience!
