After Comic-Con, I went to Disneyland.
In one picture, it was like this:

More rules: Be as specific as you can. Also, if you try to post a comment and it says you can't post it because it's too long, that's ok that just means I need to approve it. It will still show up.
ReplyDeleteI would love to work as the Mad Hatter at Disneyland and die of heat stroke. :)
ReplyDeleteI have never been to Disneyland, so I don't even have a clue as to where you took these pics. =P But it sounds like you had fun and enjoyed yourself. (I have however been to Disney-World, but I was really little so I don't remember much about the trip.)

I'm not sure on all of them, but some of them do look really recognizable! This was killing me and my sis, we've been there so many times and yet we can't quite place our fingers on all of these. :)It was fun though!
I saw the title, I was all incredulous and overconfident, like, "Ha! Do I know Disneyland?" And then I scrolled down and was like, "Oh...ummmm...errr..maybe not." The only ones I think I know are 4) one of the shops on Main Street, maybe the Emporium? 6) Snow White's wishing well? 7) Storybookland? 8) Teacups 10) over by Tarzan's treehouse, at the restaurant? 18) Haunted Mansion (my favorite ride for so many reasons) 19) somewhere in New Orleans square? 20) Pirates of the Carribbean?
ReplyDeleteNote the frequent use of question marks, so that I don't feel too dumb when I'm completely wrong.
Sigh...we've gone every year for the past three years (I love being married to a 'cast member'), but we're not going this year because of the baby. I thought I was okay with it until I saw this post. Love that place!

Holy crumbs I have been pwned by you guys. Do you live at Disneyland? :D
ReplyDeleteHere are the answers (so far):
1-Carnation Plaza roof, taken from the Tiki Room waiting area.
2-Star Tours door!
3-Waterfall by Tarzan's Treehouse
4-Light inside the Main Street Mary Blair gallery (which I think used to be the bank.)
5-Tomorrowland train station (near the Autopia exit)
6-Big Thunder Mountain penny pond (mmmm orange water!)
7-Storybookland waiting line
8-Lamp on City Hall building (wow emily)
9-Teacup lanterns!
10-
11-Top of Pirates Ride, taken from Tarzan's Treehouse!
12-Big Thunder Mountain line
13-
14-
15-
16-Steering wheel in Tarzan's Treehouse
17-
18-Master Gracey in teh Haunted Mansion ceiling! (Isn't that picture fabulous?? My sis snapped it. She caught his good side.)
19-Table umbrellas in Frontierland
20-
21-Rapunzel Meet 'n Greet!
22-Waterfountain in New Orleans Square
23-
24-
25-Gate across from the Matterhorn, around the Finding Nemo ride.
26-
27-The gate of the Aladdin Oasis, just by the River Cruise exit (wow)
28-
29-Roof of Snow White's Scary Adventure
30-Top of the Haunted Mansion
So the blank ones above need pegging. Here are a couple of clues:
ReplyDelete(13) is somewhere in New Orleans Square.
(15) has the word "princess" in it.
(23) is in the line for an attraction already pictured & named
(26) is on a moving attraction
(28) isn't in fantasyland
You guys all put me to shame. I had to go through my pictures to remember where these were!
13-Blue Bayou restaurant?
ReplyDelete15-Princess Fantasy Faire?
28-Matterhorn???
I haven't been to Disneyland in years. :-P
ReplyDelete#1 is not the roof of Carnation Plaza Gardens. It is the roof of the Plaza Inn / Aladdin's Oasis building. The Main Street side has the gingerbread decoration; the Adventureland side has the thatched look. Carnation has two structures--a tented stage/dance floor, and a smaller food structure, neither of which you can see from any part of the waiting area for Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room.
ReplyDeleteI am just going to try the ones not found yet. ;) P.S. I am using my uber Disney fan brother's help on some of these.
ReplyDelete10- I thought it was the entrance to Sleeping Beauty Castle walkthrough, but the bricks are throwing me...I can't place it.
13- In the outdoor fountain area of the gallery above Pirates, my brother says it might be the back side of the French market
14- Tarzan’s Treehouse
15-Roof of the Fantasyland Theatre / Princess Fantasy Faire
17- King Arthur Carrousel
20- I’m thinking Pirates of the Carribbean—lower queue, but am not sure
23- Flowers at the base of the matterhorn. (but my brother says... Disneyland plants like 500,000 annuals each year.)
24- We're thinking New Orleans Square somewhere...perhaps the steps outside the train station.
26- Crown decor on the Mark Twain
28 - The ground in tomorrowland?
***and just a note: My brother disagrees with your incorrect on #1, he says "It is not Carnation Plaza Gardens. It is the Plaza Pavillion shared roof with Aladdin's Oasis. I guarantee it. You cannot see the Carnation Plaza Gardens from the Tiki Room." But...yeah. Like I said he's a BIG fan. ;)
@Raine - Yes! (13) is Blue Bayou (the entrance) and (15) is Princess Fantasty Faire! Awesome.
ReplyDelete@Aubrey - (14)is Tarzan's Treehouse! & (17), King Arthur's Carousel (24)--you have the right land
@Smarmish & Aubrey - Ha! You're right! I've been pwned again. I realize now that Carnation Plaza is further up main street. (Sad to say, I've only been to Disneyland twice in the past 5 years.)
So all that's left--(10), (20), (23), (24), (26), & (28).
Hint on 28--it's not the ground
Glad that didn't offend you that he said you were wrong on #1. ;)
ReplyDeleteOkay, 24 is the steps in front of The French Market where you can sit to watch Fantasmic.
Not quite, but close--a wider shot of the (24) area is in the post from last year.
ReplyDeleteAh ha, same as # 19 from last year, in fact I think I see the same plant in the corner of that pic.
ReplyDeleteNOS, entrance to the dream suite
26 is the train isn't it?
ReplyDeleteNice pix! Um, I don't think I can list all those places in Disneyland! YIKES!
ReplyDelete@Aubrey - Bingo!
ReplyDelete@Emily - Yes! 26 is the train ^_^
@Xavier - I know, I can't either! (Luckily I kept a log of the picture I took)
