"Labyrinth" is probably what being on drugs is like

And don't you try to deny it.
I have no idea why I did a picture of this, other than it's a total iconic 80s cult film. It was fun as heck to draw. Apparently the girl got to keep the dress after the show! I looked it up. In the dictionary. There's a picture of her under the word "lucky".

Another neat thing: the ballroom is shaped like a ball. (!) A small one. So she's...just sort of...wandering around in circles.

I spent like 8 hours figuring this out

I realize that not everyone can stay up til 3 in the morning to figure out the sequence staging of obscure Jim Henson films but as you may have noticed I am a very special sort of person and so it is with a great sense of responsibility that I step into this role.

Want more of that Goblin King goodness? Every year in LA there's a Jareth's masked ball. Fear him...love him...do as he says, and he will be something something. I can never remember that line.

    LOVE this movie! It was one of my faves as a kid. I have to admit I had a huge crush on Jareth. ;)

    But in the end [He] has no power over me!

    What a GREAT post! Haha yup, love that movie. And very much loved her hair and dress - that is like my favourite scene from the film and the piece of music is brilliant too!

    All I could think of as I read this post was Flight of the Conchords, when Bret gets advice in a dream from Labyrinth David Bowie. Probably because I haven't seen the actual movie the entire way through. Hmmmm...maybe I should?

    I was a huge Labyrinth fan. And had my own kind of crush on Jareth. It's the only reason I read "Return to Labyrinth."

    @Casey - Yes, this ballroom sequence was one of my references! As was the Masquerade from Phantom of the Opera and (especially) the All Hallow's Eve Ball from Van Helsing

    Love your picture! It reminds me of a perfect fairytale (cuz she got her perfect dress...isnt that what really matters? That a girl gets her dress?)
