:'(

Very few people can transcend with words in such a simple, beautiful way.  I feel so heartbroken, like I've lost a friend.

  1. I was hoping you'd post something. I wish more people knew just how influential he was. Mr. Sherman wrote the soundtrack to my childhood.

    Beautiful tribute, Heather.

  3. Thank you for the lovely art, expresses my feelings on the loss, too. And - what the other Heather said: 'soundtrack to my childhood' indeed...

  4. Lovely. And to what Heather said as well. The soundtrack to our youth.

  5. Thanks for sharing this! I'm taking my kids to Disneyland next week--I'll be thinking about this while we're on Its a Small World.

  9. A worthy tribute, Heather. Very nice.

I had no idea the same songwriter wrote for Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (my favorite movie in the 70s). I think I'll go play Truly Scrumptious in Mr. Sherman's memory.
