I can't waaaaaaaaait!!!!! {Cinderella fangirling}

So Cinderella comes out this weekend, and I can't even say how excited I am to see it oiulwengh;aoewgjkn/.lk'adsboihfdba;io

Everyone in this movie is absolutely beautiful.

Cinderella is beautiful.

She's even gorgeous in her rags.

Her fairy godmother is absolutely stunning.

Her stepmother is drop-dead gorgeous.

Even her stepsisters are beautiful.

I want their dresses*

*And I'm totally not just saying that, I think those dresses are adorable and I'd wear them in a shot.  A shot, I say!

The prince is so beautiful I think he's a girl

And don't even get me started on the mice!

I am soooooo excited.

But I'm also nervous.  Because I bawl every time I watch the trailer.

I'm kinda a cryer.  I cry through a lot of movies.

SARAAAAAAAAH!

So with a track record like that, I know when I watch Cinderella, it's going to be reaaaally bad for the other people in the theater.

I've figured out a solution, though:

I'm totally filling the theater with every girl in my whole family.

{We're totally a family of cryers.}

AAAH I CAN'T WAIT

  1. I'm coming with! I don't have my cryer anymore! It's embarrassing to be the only one tooting my nose , Pam

  2. I really want to see this movie, too. And I know what you mean about the trailer.

    Confession: I'm totally a cryer. I put on airs that I don't do the girly cry when I watch movies and I don't when people are around, but if I'm alone...you'd better believe I do. I let the waterworks go. Don't get me started on how weepy I get when I watch Little Women (I looove that movie). And not because of the the part when a certain person dies in it (though I do turn into a weepy mess at that part. Except when I watched it with my mom.). I mean like crying at the parts because people are so happy. Does that even make sense? It probably does to you.

    Aw, crap. Kevin will probably read this commment and find out. I'm that secret about my movie crying. Oops.

    Also, this post made me laugh. A lot. As always. :)

  4. I'm not crying during the Steve McQueen chase.

    It's just a little bit of my awesome leaking out.

  5. Oh man, I'm such a cryer, too! Especially if it involves animals, or little kids and their parents, or couples who finally overcome obstacles to be together, or Kili and Thorin dying horrible drawn-out deaths...or anything, really. :-P Even Frozen!

    Oooh, I can't wait for Cinderella!

  8. You're evil plot to cover up your crying worked! We all went together and sure enough when we left the theater they were bringing the heavy duty mops and ginormous fans to dry out the place! Every single girl in the family ran out of tissues and had red eyes and runny noses. Life just doesn't get better than that. I'm going for FHE, anyone wanna come?

  9. Don't Teletubbies make everyone cry?

    And scream?

    And run away?

  10. I'M TELLING YOU YOU WILL LOVE IT (I'm going to watch it again with my sister this week).

    (This post also makes me wish I could watch it — and cry — with you.)

    By the way, Lily James' version of A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes is just golden <3

  12. AH! I thought I was the only one above the age of 20 who watches Barbie movies!! This post is too funny. xD I too cannot wait to see CINDERELLA! and I've already got a date set to see it with a party of my peeps! *squeals in hysterical excitedness*

  13. I cry. At most movies. Yesterday, I bawled while watching clips of musicals online. They weren't even that resonant, either!
    But I CANNOT wait to see Cinderella! My birthday is the 20th, so I'm deffo gonna see it then.

  14. Ok, first of all - I cannot BELIEVE you included Barbie: Princess and the Pauper in your montage of weeping at movies. I LOVE BARBIE: PRINCESS AND THE PAUPER. All these years, it's been a terrible secret that I have told NO ONE because of the Barbie Movies Are For Tiny Tots stigma.

    Second of all: I am so here for this. I am 100% born for crying at the movie theater and making everyone else uncomfortable. TAKE ME WITH YOU, HEATHER DIXON.

    (P.S. sorry for bursting obnoxiously onto your blog as though I've followed your posts for ages but never felt cool enough to comment until today - but I've been following your posts for ages and never felt cool enough to comment until today ;P)

  15. I just saw Cinderella today!!!! It was so aesthetically and visually pleasing. In fact, I was so immersed in the stylistic aspects of it that I completely forgot to cry. (Well, that's almost true...) But because I was with my boyfriend and surrounded by five-year-olds who were not weeping, I held back my tears. I will watch it again when it comes out on DVD though, in my room, and bawl my eyes out. SUCH A GOOD MOVIE, YOU WILL LOVE IT!

  16. This plan is genius! GENIUS!
    I wonder if we could market this idea? Instead of singalongs showings, weepy watchings, or sobbing screenings. Complimentary tissues would be provided and chocolate, because chocolate seems to taste even better when one has had a good cry.

  17. I'm sorry, but if you watch 'A Little Princess' and don't shed a tear then you just aren't human.

  18. I saw this film last weekend! It was amazing! I loved every bit of it; the ball, the gardens, the special effects, the dresses, *whispers* the prince! :) It was so great! At the end I clapped (it was a bit awkward because I was the only one...) I get really enthusiastic about films easily, but I've never been a crier so I can't relate there although I'm sure there are plenty of people who can! I can tell you that you'll love Cinderella! Watch it and cry as much as you want be as loud as you wish (as long as you don't get thrown out of the cinema) because when watching this film there'll be *almost* no holding back!

    You're so funny! I really enjoyed reading your post. ^^

  19. Hahaha! You guys are so great! I think the best solution to this is to watch Cinderella with all of you.

    {Although I did see it!! And yes, I bawled. And bawled. And BAWLED. My gosh so many people died! And good gravy...her dress was AMAZING. I shed the most tears over that dress.}

  20. PS @Quinn - It's from "A Little Princess"! ...Which is pretty much the best movie ever made.

  21. I'm so glad I'm not the only cryer in the world. Went to see Brave with my mom, cried and held her hand (I'm 25 now) went to see Maleficent, cried and held her hand. Got into a huge fight with mom, had to go see Cinderella, with friend who's mom died of cirrhosis when she was about 6, cried throughout the whole movie and she held my hand the entire time.
    I still cry at the end of The Little Mermaid because it's such a happy ending. According to my mother I've been crying over Ariel since I first watched the movie when I was 2. So happy I'm not the only one.
