My aunt is in charge of the elementary school's Fun Run, and asked me to do a shirt design for them. For me, running requires...motivation, so I made this:
About 3/4ths of the way through I woke up and thought: What am I DRAWING??
So I did a new PTA-acceptable design.
I like 'em both.
ALSO: in response to folks asking if there were more boy-centric coloring pages for the contest (which ends in just 11 days!), here's one:
And yes, I'm serious, it really does count towards the coloring contest. Why does everyone always think I'm joking??
Personally, I like the first shirt. :) I LOVE the coloring page! Ba ha ha ha! So funny! :D
ReplyDeleteI love the first shirt design! I'm one of those runners - this girl isn't moving anywhere fast unless flying monkeys are chasing me (or I'm late to see Mama Mia on Broadway).
ReplyDeletePsh, the first design is awesome! I'd totally love that.
ReplyDeleteI got your book this week! Also, you probably already know this, but Entwined was one of the Best of the Month for Young Adult picks on Amazon for April! Awesome!
I love the first shirt! That's so awesome!
ReplyDeleteI have a question on the contest: if we don't have a scanner (or can't find it because it's packed in a box in storage somewhere) can we take a picture of the entries and email them to you as well?
'ROFL' just doesn't cover how hard I laughed when I saw this. It was something in the neighborhood of BWAHAAAAAAHAHAHAHA HA HA HA *SNORT* Hahahahahaha!
ReplyDeleteI need to stop reading your blog at my desk during my lunch break.
Ahahaha, that first shirt is awesome! You should take out the words and submit it to Threadless, I would totally buy it. Also, I have been debating which one of the princesses to color...and the dinosaur picture just decided me. I love dinosaurs! (Although I don't think I want to meet a real one, since they eat girrrrls and I am one).
ReplyDeleteYou should submit the first design, and if they say 'no', show them the boys coloring page. Make sure they understand that people without a good sense of adventure (or humor) get eaten by dinosaurs first. If they still protest, then give them the second and say, "you'd best be watchin' for the t-rex!"
ReplyDeleteHave I said how much I love your blog, Heather? Seriously, it fills a void in my otherwise boring and dreary life.
Seu traço é incrível, parabéns!
ReplyDeleteFelicidades e sucesso.
Abraço cordial.
The first shirt is pretty fun especially for an elementary school fun run. I like the second one too.
ReplyDeleteYou are hilarious! I might just make that first one into a shirt anyway.
ReplyDeleteI just found you new blog! Need to go to the store to get an ink cartridge so i can color a picture!!! Ezra and Noah say to tell you they like the dinosaur drawing. :)
ReplyDeleteI was going to ask how I could get the first design on a shirt my size. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteAnd hooray for the boy coloring contest picture! I sent the girly ones off to my niece and I'm going to get Max coloring this one! He'll love it!
The second design is reminiscent of a Cthulhu snatching up children and tossing them into the air, so maybe in essence it's no different than the first design.
ReplyDeleteIt IS Cthulhu, isn't it?! That's it, second one wins.
ReplyDeleteAw thanks everyone! And good noose--My aunt chose the first! (She'll have to get it approved with the principle first, though, so we'll see if it passes.)
ReplyDelete@Jennilyn - But of course! Pictures are great. ^_^
@Sam - It IS a child-eating Cthulhu. It's all subliminal though, the kids will never know.
Hi! are you the author of "Entwined"? could you tell me if it has been published in spanish and the title in spanish if so? I live in argentina and I'm looking for it in bookstores here and cannot find it =( my email is melamzelaya@hotmail.com thanks!
ReplyDeleteHey, Mela! At this point it looks like the book will be translated into German, Italian, and Portuguese, but so far Spanish is up in the air. I hope so!
ReplyDeleteLove the first design! Also the dinosaur coloring page, both are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI love the dinos, especially the one in the back. He he. And I would have bought the T-shirt with your first design.
ReplyDeleteAND you book was fabulous. Thanks so much for sharing your talent with all of us out here in the world. :)
Hah! I found your blog as someone who is a Entwined book fan, only to discover that I have this shirt! I personally would wear the Oz shirt far more than the champion cup thingy, but at least I earned that shirt fair and square by being drug around the mile course by my 4 year old who refused to run even a tiny bit. My 6 year old lapped us.
ReplyDelete@Rhonda - hahah, awesome! I have the shirt too, although I didn't earn it. They gave me one for doing the design. I totes lucked out...
